Pastor Rex published "God Shed His Grace On Thee" in November, 2014.  This is a book outlining the Christian foundations of the establishment of the United States of America, where the nation has left its origins, and how each of us may become involved to bring it back to where it was intended to be.

OUR CHURCH

Pastor Ron Smith and his family came to Colorado Springs in January, 1976 to establish a church.  They sold all they had and moved from their home in Ohio to carve out the ministry under God's direction.  With the assistance of the Church of God General Offices on the down payment, the Bijou Street location was secured.  Pastor Smith was followed by Demps Overcash as pastor.

Bijou Street Church of God was officially organized on Easter Sunday, April 16, 1978.  Since its organization the church has had five senior pastors.  D.E. Corley (2yrs), David Sutton (2yrs), David Parham (5yrs), Jimmy Skinner (2yrs), and Rex Louth (30yrs-Current).  The church's name was changed to Peakview Church of God in 1990.

The church is part of the Church of God with international headquarters in Cleveland, Tennessee.  We are not merely a congregation of believers, but a part of the living body of Christ, commissioned to impact our world with the truth.

Peakview Church of God is a body of believers committed to reaching out to all the world with the truth taught by Jesus in fulfillment of the Old Testament and expressed in the New Testament of the Bible.  Beginning in our local communities, and reaching to our city, state, nation and beyond, we proclaim the full gospel of Christ through various means, to all ages and races, in showing everyone the one way to heaven through faith in Jesus Christ: His death on the cross, burial, resurrection and ascension.
